It is reported that the US-China Energy Group has reached a cooperative intention with CIGIU (China International Graphene Industry Union) and Beijing Association for Advanced Carbon Industry Promotion in terms of the research and development of key materials for the new-generation LNG (liquified natural gas) tanks.
Ruan Ruxiang, Permanent Vice Chairman of CIGIU, said in his speech that LNG import would become a major step for the development of China’s energy industry, and the technological upgrading of the new-generation LNG tanks would be crucial for this industry as well. CIGIU and its member units will work together to upgrade the LNG tank technology by using graphene and advanced carbon materials to promote China’s nature gas industry.
