AMD secures DASA funding for graphene-based signature management applications in civilian and military fields
Advanced Material Development logoAdvanced Material Development (AMD) recently announced that it has successfully applied for funding via the UK Defense and Security Accelerator (DASA), and will be receiving funds of around £83,000 (about $108,400 USD).

The program will be an early stage nine month R&D project using AMD's proprietary nanomaterial liquid processing technology for signature management applications in both civilian and military fields. The program is part of the Open Call for Emerging Innovations - the AMD contract will be one of a series of proposals funded by DASA.

CEO John Lee commented: “This very exciting award is a highly supportive move to utilizing AMD’s advanced liquid processing expertise in the field of metasurfaces applications for protection of both military and civilian personnel and assets. It is an acknowledgement of the highly innovative work being undertaken by our leading team of Material Scientists at the University of Sussex.”

AMD is also currently engaged with a number of leading global businesses developing material applications for the commercial and environmental challenges faced in industries such as automotive, packaging and retail.
